Troubleshooting: sign-in, codes and new versions

Codes that don't arrive, a locked account, a lost phone, or a page that won't update.

Sign-in codes

Codes expire in 10 minutes and work once. Use the newest one. Email codes can land in spam or promotions. Text codes are limited to 5 an hour and, for now, only reach approved numbers; choose email if a text doesn't come.

Authenticator app codes depend on your phone's clock. If one is refused, check the time on your phone is set automatically and try the next code.

Locked out

After 5 wrong passwords, or too many wrong codes, the account pauses for 15 minutes. Wait and try again.

Forgot your password? Use Forgot password on the sign-in page. The reset link works once and expires in 30 minutes. Every signed-in device is signed out; your second factor stays on.

Lost your phone? Use one of the backup codes you saved when you signed up. Each works once. Make a new set any time in Settings › Backup codes.

A new version, or a page that looks stuck

When we release an update you'll see “A new version is ready” with Update now. Press it and the page reloads onto the new version. If it doesn't, close the tab and open the site again.

Signed in but seeing the homepage? Press the button with your household's name at the top right, or go to myfamilyoffice.si/app.

A share link won't open

Share links need the 6-digit code sent to the email the link was made for, and work on one device. If it says the link is already in use on another device, ask the person who shared it to move it (they remove the old device, then you open the link again). If it's expired or turned off, ask them for a new one.

Where to find it: Forgot password · Second factor
