Share links and view-only access
Let someone look at your household, never change it. Each link is tied to the person's email and logs every open.
Make a link
- Owners: open Settings › Share a view-only link.
- Enter the person's name and email and choose how long it lasts: 1 day, 7 days, 30 days, or until a date (at most 90 days).
- Press Copy share link, use Share on your phone, or Email to them. The web address itself is never shown.
What they see
They open the link and we email a 6-digit code to the address you entered. Once they enter it they can look around but can't change anything, on one device: the first one they open it on. To move it to another device, remove the old device next to the link; they get a new code when they open the link on the new one.
Every open is logged under Who opened it, with the device, rough location and time. Unusual activity, like an open from a new device or a refused attempt, shows as a security alert on your Activity page.
Turn it off
Press Turn off next to the link and it stops working right away. You can also remove one device; they'll get a new code if they open the link there again.
